Are you at home in machining technology? Do you enjoy improving production processes and are you looking for a job with a lot of freedom and variety? Then your heart will undoubtedly beat faster in the role of CNC Turner within our organization!
On an early Monday morning, your day starts in the machining department. After drinking your coffee, you work on refining the CNC programs using Edgecam. Precisely you adjust the machines for the first production run.
Don’t be surprised if a little later you discover a deviation in one of the production drawings. At the moment you are testing a new prototype. Fortunately, because of the short lines of communication, you just drop by the engineers. “Can you take a look? I think this could be done differently,” you say. “Good point,” he replies. Together you polish the design slightly.
Once in the workshop, the sound of rotating machinery and the familiar smell of metal come to meet you. You smile as you see the machines doing their job. One of the best things about working at A.P. van den Berg is the variety. You make complex parts in small production volumes for your own probing machines. It makes you proud that you contribute to something special like soil research. Not everyone does!

Our colleague about CNC at A.P. van den Berg
“The turning shop at A.P. van den Berg is a fun and friendly workplace. We work hard, but we also make room for jokes in between to keep the atmosphere good. The work is very varied. You get to deal with small to large series of up to 400 pieces, but also single pieces, which you work on for a few days or a few hours. You are behind a CNC lathe a lot.
